Gilgamesh the King

The epic tale of Gilgamesh, the legendary god-king of Sumeria who discovered the secret of eternal life, has enflamed the imaginations of countless generations. The ancient Sumerian tale tells the story of a king who would be a god, by whatever means necessary. The original story says Gilgamesh was a young giant with enormous wealth, power and beauty—and a boundless arrogance that leads him to oppress his people.
