Reiji runs B&B and a handful of other seedy nightspots, and his love life is as tangled as his business. Fresh from a breakup with a woman who turned out to have been unfaithful, he doesn't think of himself as someone who would have any interest in men. Then a chance collision on the street drags him into the life of Naoya, a high school student with no family, no savings and little reason to trust anyone. Their encounter turns violent when a flowerpot dropped from above, thrown by a bitter former partner of Reiji's, knocks the boy senseless.
