Buffalo Bill is a picture-book biography of William F. Cody, the frontiersman who became famous as Buffalo Bill. The story follows him from his early years, first in Iowa and then on the Kansas frontier, through his work as a rider and scout and into the years when he built his popular Wild West shows. The text is written for young readers, and the illustrations give a sense of the open plains and the life of the American West in the nineteenth century.
