A Place Called Waco

A survivor of the Waco massacre tells the inside story of the Branch Davidians, David Koresh & what really happened. When he met Koresh, Thibodeau, who'd never been religious, was drumming for a rock band going nowhere. Intrigued & frustrated, he gradually became a follower & moved to the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, TX. He remained there until 4/19/1993, when the compound was stormed & burnt to the ground. He explores why so many believed Koresh was divinely inspired. We meet the men, women & children of Mt Carmel, getting inside their day-to-day life. Thibodeau is brutally honest about himself, Koresh & the others. A Place Called Waco is just as honest when it comes to dissecting US government actions. Thibodeau marshals an array of evidence, some never previously revealed, proving that it was the government that caused the Waco tragedy including the fires. The result is a memoir that reads like a thriller, each page moving closer to the inferno.
