Neon Genesis Evangelion is the most controversial — and some say the best — anime of the decade. Set in the year 2015 when humanity faces a terrifying last judgment from mysterious giant "Angels, " the series has been acclaimed for its original story line, direct psychological content, and self-referential examination of the genre.
