This pop-up edition retells Herman Melville's sea novel as a three-dimensional graphic version, with comic-style panels, speech balloons and bold colour illustrations that rise off the page. Captain Ahab's single-minded pursuit of the white whale drives the story from start to finish. The book was made by illustrator Sam Ita, who trained under master paper engineer Robert Sabuda, and the result is meant to offer an unusual journey for readers who have never met the tale in this form.
