In the early 1970s, May Pang was working in the New York music business when she was hired as an assistant to John Lennon. What began as a job grew into a close bond, and for a time she became his companion while he lived apart from Yoko Ono. This memoir follows their relationship through a restless period of recording, nightlife and shifting loyalties in the mid-1970s, which Pang looks back on with candour and affection. It also offers a close view of Lennon away from his public image, and of the people who surrounded them.
