Éric Emmanuel Schmitt, Monsieur Ibrahim Et Les Fleurs Du Coran

In a working-class neighbourhood of Paris, a lonely thirteen-year-old boy named Momo spends his days on the margins of the street. The nearby grocer, Monsieur Ibrahim, is an older Muslim man who runs his shop with quiet dignity and an easy warmth that Momo finds hard to resist. As the boy begins to visit the shop, a friendship grows between them, and Ibrahim starts to share his knowledge and his understanding of faith with a child who has been left to fend for himself. The story is a short, tender tale about kindness across differences of religion and background, and about the ways an unexpected friendship can change a life.
