Ghostbusters

New York City, the mid-1980s. Three former parapsychology lecturers, lately turned out of their university posts, decide there is money to be made in catching ghosts. They set up shop in an old firehouse, equip themselves with strange backpacks and beam-firing gear, and begin answering calls from a city that has suddenly grown crowded with unexplained apparitions. Their first jobs take them through a haunted library and into a grand hotel, where the spirits are louder and more unruly than anyone expected. Word of their work spreads quickly, and the sceptical city begins to take notice. The novelisation follows the story of the film as these unlikely heroes build their business and prepare to face a threat far bigger than a few ghosts.
