بدائع الزهور في وقائع الدهور

Badai al-Zuhur fi Waqai al-Duhur is a chronicle of Egyptian history written by the Cairene historian Ibn Iyas. Covering events in Egypt and the wider Islamic lands over several decades, it records rulers, officials, wars, famines and daily life in Cairo under the Mamluk sultanate. Its narrative grows especially detailed as it approaches the author's own time, including the Ottoman conquest of Egypt in the early sixteenth century. Written in Arabic, it is valued by historians as a primary source for the period and as a vivid window into the city's social and political life.
