رسائل النور

Risale-i Nur is a body of Islamic writings by the Kurdish-born scholar Said Nursi, composed over several decades of the twentieth century, when he was repeatedly confined and his work was under pressure in the new Turkish republic. Its essays and treatises explain the Quran and defend faith through reason, drawing on the existence of God, the afterlife and the meaning of creation. Readers in many countries have copied and studied these letters by hand and in print, and they are often read as a single extended commentary rather than as separate tracts. The work stresses sincerity, devotion and the unity of knowledge and belief.
