Kerri's War

Kerri King is a thirty-three-year-old executive who rose to lead Iacardi & Sons, a major commodities trading firm. Her world falls apart when the September 11 attacks wipe out most of the company's New York staff. Left with a broke business, dead founders, and surviving employees who want her gone, she sets out to rebuild it. Rival energy trader Enerco wants to buy the firm cheaply, shareholders file a huge lawsuit against her, and tax authorities come after her once she gives away her inheritance to the families of lost workers. Meanwhile she has fallen for a man who is engaged to someone else, and an invitation to his New Year's Eve wedding in Florida throws her life into further turmoil.
