Rei is quick on her feet, sharp-minded, and very good at not asking questions. She carries parcels for people who pay well, and what's inside them is none of her concern. Keeping her head down makes life easier, and she has always preferred it that way. Lately, though, Sam, who is about to become her ex, has started to matter to her in ways she didn't plan for, and she finds herself wondering about the lives her deliveries touch. The story asks whether she can let herself be close to someone while still doing the work she depends on, and whether she can make up her mind before the chance is gone. It is set in the same world as the author's novel Girl Parts.
