Flute of Vrindavan

Krishna Coriolis seriesbook 3 of 7Next:Lord of Mathura(2012) →

In the third book of the Krishna Coriolis series, the young Krishna lives in Gokul, where he and his half-brother Balarama cause mischief among the cowherds. His foster mother Yashoda gradually realises that the child she guards is the protector of the world, as he survives attack after attack by demonic forces. Meanwhile the tyrant Kamsa, frustrated at failing to kill the child, builds his strength and sends assassins with the help of Jarasandha. Nanda, the child's foster father, leads the community into exile, and they settle in Vrindavan, where danger still lurks. The story covers the childhood years of the god in his Krishna incarnation, shaped by peril and by the affection of his family and neighbours.
