Teal's Run - The Unbelievable Adventures of Jonathon Teal

At 83, the wealthy Englishman, Jonathon Teal, finds himself whisked into the past to live again as a young man. This is not unusual for him; he has often dreamed of his escapades as a lad. However, this dream, or whatever it is, fueled by pieces of reality and seemingly of a celestial design, propels him into adventures of which he is forced to examine himself at every turn. As his dream unveils, Teal is in his mid-thirties. He is united with a large man very unlike himself, Jim Harrison, a rural American, to vacation within the Arkansas woodlands. They each seek a hiatus from the devastating relationships that have plagued their lives and intend to ferret out the answers over a campfire. But on their own, they can only make conjectures; the real answers of regeneration are just beyond their reach. It takes their commitment to release a young prostitute from her bondage, the discovery of a sister Teal once thought dead, and the near death of his companion to ultimately learn that their answers rest in a communion with God. Unfortunately for Teal, a lifetime of disappointments has long eroded this connection. As Teal retreats ever deeper into the wilds of his own mind, he struggles with the meanings of it all. Then, he awakens.
