Darkened

Avery Tywella is a half-demon who works for a human rights task force, tracking down supernatural beings that have harmed people. Her pursuit of a demon accused of murder draws the notice of Jared Damascus, frontman of a popular local rock band. After a night out with a friend, she is targeted by a fallen angel and a dangerous killer. A fallen angel guards her, though she would rather handle the job herself. To stop the killer she needs help from his group of vigilante fighters, and she must also navigate growing attraction to the rock singer. This is the first book in the Avery Tywella series.
