Last Chance Motel

Eva Hanover has reached forty with what looks like a settled life: a successful career, a handsome home in Brooklyn, and a husband she believed loved her. Then, almost without warning, her marriage ends. She loses the house, and in a moment of anger she walks away from her work too. With little more than the clothes she is wearing, she heads south to Key Largo, where the collapse of her marriage seems to follow her. Stranded in a town far removed from New York, Eva has to decide whether to sink or swim. Starting again in middle age is never simple, and she is not sure she can find happiness again. One step at a time, she begins to rebuild, and the path she takes leads back toward a sense of purpose and, eventually, toward love.
