Breaking the Ice

Zac McAllister has spent his life on the ice and in the nightlife, and when a career-ending injury pushes him out of professional hockey, he is left running a shabby neighbourhood pub and wondering what he is good for. Meanwhile, his former team is chasing a championship without him, and its victory celebration is to be held at his bar. The party is arranged by Avery Brooks, a precise event planner and the daughter of the team's general manager, the man who once showed Zac the door. Avery remembers him as the cocky rookie she had a crush on years ago. Now both have changed, and the old spark is harder to ignore.
