The Thunder Warrior: The de Shera Brotherhood

It is 1258 in England, and Simon de Montfort is gathering a parliament meant to give the king and himself equal voice, while the political tensions of the age quicken. Maximus de Shera, the most seasoned fighter among three brothers, is caught off guard when he falls for the daughter of one of de Montfort's loyal supporters. Lady Courtly Love de Lara is a woman of clear judgment and quick wit, and she is also striking to look at. Her father opposes the match and works to send her somewhere Maximus cannot follow. Meanwhile his brothers are drawn deeper into de Montfort's schemes, and the royal conflict with Henry III reaches a crisis. Maximus must choose between the fight he is needed for and the search for the woman he loves, a man he once counted as an ally standing in his way. Family loyalty, betrayal and grief run beneath this second part of the Lords of Thunder trilogy.
