Blood on the Plains

Matt Hutchins is the only survivor of a wagon train massacre on the western plains. He is taken in and raised by the Sioux, who teach him to read the land, hunt and track, skills he later offers to the Army and eventually to the sheriff of Buffalo Flats. Living alone on the open prairie with his horse, a gift from the chief who taught him to survive, Matt sets out to defend the law and the settlers against those who would ruin them. Armed with grit and firepower, he takes on a series of dangers that test his loyalty and his resolve.
