Opal's Story: A Novel

In 1948 a murder and suicide shake a small town in west Texas and shatter a respected family. At the centre of the tragedy is Opal Evans, a widow whose life is changed for good. Decades later, Opal is ill and wants to make peace with what happened. She feels she must confront the man who betrayed her, a pastor who cut her off from her faith. Her niece Joy begins to question the family's past, and as relatives gather around Opal, she finds the forgiveness and faith she believed she had left behind, while Joy discovers an unexpected love of her own.
