Onyx and Starr

Onyx moves with his family from New York to Atlanta and believes his world has ended. At eight years old he meets Starr, a lively girl who quickly becomes his closest friend. They share basketball courts, homework and years of easy good times. As they grow older and change schools, they wonder whether their bond can survive the shift. Things grow more complicated when Onyx starts dating Mandy, a cheerleader at their middle school, while Starr remains part of his daily life. Jealousy, loyalty and first love collide, and Onyx begins to wonder whether his feelings for Starr run deeper than friendship.
