Kurtis Matthews is a mystery. His rookie year in the NFL was one of the most inspiring the L.A. Kodiaks had ever seen. He was an unstoppable force that had the fans dreaming of championships and the owners reaching for their checkbooks. Then, just as suddenly as he appeared, he vanished. He was traded away in a deal that sparked outrage both on the field and in the stands. The world demanded 'why', but Kurtis never answered.

Not until Harper White started asking.

Harper and her crew have been hired to film a documentary for the NFL Network. Following a spectacular season highlighted by Matthews' surprise return, the Kodiaks are primed to make a run at the Super Bowl, and it's up to Harper's crew to capture it all. The practices, the wins, and the losses; the lives of these men as they march toward the ultimate prize. It's her job and her passion to dig deep. To find the answers that don't want to be found. To solve the mysteries that have no desire to be solved.

Kurtis is used to dodging the press to keep his secrets, but what can he do when he has nowhere to hide? When the most beautiful, penetrating eyes he's ever seen hold him steady, tearing his defenses to shreds? When once again he finds himself desperate for what he cannot have?

Lies and lust can be contained, but love?

That sh#t will blow his world wide open.
