Rowen Greensmith has been with her boyfriend, Eric Richardson, through a great deal, and now he seems ready to propose. She is thrilled and terrified, unsure whether she is cut out to be a wife, but certain that she loves him more than anyone. Her wedding plans soon have to share space with a new puzzle in the town of Lainswich, where a local librarian has disappeared. The townsfolk have never warmed to the Greensmith family, and when every strange event seems to lead back to them, their welcome begins to wear thin. Rowen has to wonder whether her family has finally overstayed its welcome, and whether she will reach the altar at all. This novella is a standalone that can be enjoyed without reading the earlier volumes.
