Long Road To Abilene: The Western Adventures of Cade McCall

Cade McCall returns from the brutal fighting at Franklin and a Northern prison camp hoping to reunite with the woman he loves, only to learn she believed him dead and has wed his brother. Left with no reason to stay in Tennessee, he heads south to New Orleans, where a chance meeting pulls him onto a ship as an involuntary crewman and sends him on a voyage far from home.
