Upon A Midnight Dream

Miracles, many say, belong to children's tales and to the faithful who hope for them. Sir Rennington of Ashbourne has come home from the Crusades carrying a weariness no one sees, a man who has long since stopped expecting anything good to come his way. Lady Holly St. Maur is grieving too, with little hope left for the future that once seemed certain. Thrown together at Christmastide, the two of them begin to wonder whether something unexpected might still be possible. This short, romantic story follows two lonely people on the edge of a change they never imagined, as the season offers a chance at a second beginning.
