The Protector

Men of the North seriesbook 1 of 2Next:The Ruler →

Four centuries from now, women hold power almost everywhere, and men have become scarce. The one exception is a northern region, once part of Canada and Alaska, where a band of fiercely independent men live apart and refuse to answer to women. Christina Sanders, a historian and archaeology professor, has always preferred the past to the present. When an unpopular assignment comes up, she accepts it on impulse: leading a dig in that remote northern territory, where people say the men are as harsh as the ones in her textbooks. Once she crosses the border, she must find out whether the men will let her work, and whether she will be allowed to leave unharmed. The book opens the Men of the North romance series.
