"A top nuclear scientist from Los Alamos is found dead in the beautiful Valles caldera. The FBI lazily calls it a natural death, but Santa Fe detective, Signe Sorensen feels that her friend was murdered. Signe, a bright, leggy homicide detective from Copenhagen tries her hand at her third Santa Fe murder. She mentors a Cochiti Indian medicine man, Mateo Romero who becomes her Dr. Watson. She encounters a rare female sociopath named Svelty, a brainy nuclear scientist named Pushpa, Urszula, a beautiful Polish spy, a black Dutch stripper named Kitten Kitten and the victim's three disruptive daughters. At first finding diddly-squat, she soothes her ego with blue corn, red chile enchiladas and the noble New Mexican cuisine."—Cover-p.4.
