A Lion and a Lamb

This book follows the twenty-four-year mission of Willard and Rebecca Bean, a couple who served in Palmyra, New York, at a time when the Church regained the Joseph Smith Farm and the Sacred Grove.

The Beans faced hostility and bigotry from many neighbours, yet over the years they raised their family, built friendships, and earned a place within the community. Their work also helped the Church secure historic sites, including the Hill Cumorah. Their service is recorded as the second-longest mission in Church history. The story was later adapted into a feature film, The Fighting Preacher.
