Kissing the Canvas

Pasha Markovitch, a Russian boxer living in Britain, has real talent and a shot at Olympic success, but his visa is running out and he could be sent home. Pressure from his greedy father and memories that keep weighing on him make things harder. Then he meets Liliana Asare, a sharp-tongued florist, who proposes a practical deal. He gets to stay in the country and she gets money for her shop. The arrangement is simple on paper, but feelings start to complicate it. This is a romance, not a guide to immigration law.
