Fudge Cake, Felony and a Funeral

When a much-loved member of a seaside community dies, the funeral sets off a chain of trouble. In the English town of St. Eves, the deceased's relatives arrive hoping to claim the family fortune, and their quarrels quickly turn bitter. Before long, a second death occurs and café owner Charlotte Denver, who has a knack for sleuthing, is pulled into the investigation. As she searches for clues, she discovers that the killer may be closer than anyone suspects, and her own safety begins to slip. The story moves through suspicion and sharp turns toward its finale. This clean small-town cozy mystery avoids graphic violence, strong language and explicit content, and it includes recipes to try at home. It is written in British English, with a cast of relatives where blood ties may not mean as much as they seem.
